It's hard for me to believe people don't know basic stuff about life, relationships, parenting, and money. I've come to the conclusion that most people CHOOSE not to know. This is called WILLFUL ignorance, which is the most disgusting state of mind. Why? Because willful ignorance seems to be a license to remain unaccountable for stupid stuff that hurts others and because you willingly give other people control over your life and destiny that hurts yourself.
